It was a breathless ascent to the wondrous hairdressers this morning; well, breathless for Daddy R, not for I. Whilst it was a delightful visit there was a dampener on proceedings as my favourite lady was not there today as she felt unwell. One shall have to belatedly wish her better next week. After a thoroughly good run around the premises to ensure nothing had changed, we took ourselves off and past the bakers and said hello my other ladies inside. Along our route we met my new friend Pepe who was terribly interested in my behind. Not that one minds, one has to get what attention one can these days. Once we entered the literal homestretch we saw my Daddy S before he went off to work and one wished him as good a day before him as I will have - sleeping, as one should.

Today’s recall training was another unmitigated success - and if there were any doubt - and also included some light parkour. Yes, one knows, with one’s back? Astonishing. It is almost as if no one has told one not to jump. Do not fret, one’s back is in tiptop shape and the ledge was hardly even that, more a glorified step, but one felt the need to exert one’s energy. So much so that once we had returned home we found ourselves on the bed and had a sleep. Exhausting.

Thankfully this morning we managed to evade the deluge that is now upon us. No, it was rather pleasant out, much more so than recently. A cool breeze that blew away the cobwebs and imbued us with a sense of calm, an amenable temperature. Thoroughly absorbing. After many a recall in the park which saw me doing my longest run back and forth yet, we wandered the parade of cafes and bakeries, saw some similar and long lost faces, and then once we were indoors, breakfast consumed, one took himself off to the comfort of the bed for a nibble of one’s Croc before snoozing the morning away. Beautiful.

Why yes, one did “try it on”, as it were, and take Nanny and Daddy R conveniently past the bakers for the second day on the trot. A vein attempt as it was just that, a passing visit. At least I got to see my baking ladies. One day one shall have a croissant.

Despite water being carried on each outing, along with many a bag, wipes, tissues, essentially all necessary accoutrements for any potential incident and or want or need, there is something about water from a cafe; especially a posh one befitting of a man of my standing. The kind lady server came over at seeing me drinking and one afforded her the opportunity to say hello and have a stroke, parting from the bowl briefly before returning to it. One must always be hydrated.

Absolutely adore this carrier! Moose is as snug as a bug in it! The sturdy bottom allows him to sit up comfortably and the inner lining is so cozy that he curls up in there and goes to sleep!

best purchases I have ever made…. it served more purpose than I ever imagined. My Dog travelled in this on the train, she would climb into it sometimes in the hotel room and go to sleep in it, she also did this when I was out with her and when she needed breaks from walking (due to her age and issues with her back legs) I was able to carry her. I found it comfortable using the straps over the shoulder, like a handbag. However, due to my dogs weight and size I could not tolerate the across the body straps option. I tried it twice and found it to painful and a struggle for me. But this wasn’t an issue as I found it very comfortable using the carrier on the shorter straps over my shoulder. I would frequently hear my dog snoring away when I was walking and she was in the pet carrier. She just loved it and was so relaxed in it. I’ve even been using it with her now we are back home.
