If your dog is between sizes, the best way to determine which carrier size they need is to go by weight, followed by length.
For larger dogs(e.g. cockapoo) we have created a special large size for dogs up to around 10kgs which comes in the Adventurer, Belgravia and Explorer.
You might find our dog breed galleries useful to see pictures of other users enjoying their carriers.
Top Tip!
Padding out your dog carrier with a cosy personalised blanket is a great way to enhance snugness and take up any excess room if required! You can also put a knot through the trigger hook inside to make it shorter if needed.
Our small dog carriers measure approximately 39 x 23 x 25cms, which is usually well suited for puppies, toy breeds, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Petite Miniature Dachshunds etc.
Our medium dog carriers measure 43 x 28 x 30cms, which is comfy for small dogs such as King Charles Cavaliers, Frenchies, and Terriers and long dogs e.g. Miniature Dachshunds
Our large dog carriers measure 53 x 33cm x 35cmswhich is suited to slightly larger dogs who appreciate additional comfort on the move e.g. cockapoos. This size comes with the addition of a memory foam support base for extra comfort to support larger/more senior dogs.
Top Tip!
When measuring your pup for a carrier, measure from their collar to the base of the tail (where the tail begins), as their little heads will poke out while they are in the carrier and their tail will curl around when sitting down.
The size of the dog collar you choose is really important to ensure that your dog is comfortable and secure.
We strongly recommend using a dressmaking tape to measure your dog’s collar before ordering. The below is intended as a helpful guide only as breeds can vary, especially according to age and sex.
Tiny dogs, toy breeds and puppies e.g. Chihuahuas, Maltese, toy breeds, smaller Pomeranians, and petite Miniature Dachshunds typically suit our Tiny 8”-11” dog collars
Small breeds, such as Jack Russels, King Charles Cavaliers, Terriers, Miniature Schnauzers, Shih Tzus, and fully grown Miniature Dachshunds typically suit our Small 12”-14” dog collars.
Medium breeds, including Cockapoos, Cocker Spaniels, Frenchies, Dalmatians, Beagles and Staffordshire Bull Terriers typically suit our Medium 14”-18” dog collars.
Top Tip!
Determine whether your dog’s collar is the right size by sliding two fingers underneath. Your fingers should fit comfortably without being too loose or too tight.
Our dog harnesses are fastened with velcro for easy wearability - there’s no need to pull the harness over your dog’s head to remove it, making it handy to take on and off.
Similarly to how you would measure your dog for a coat, the measurements of their neck and their chest are important to ensure your pup is comfortable in their harness and that it is a good fit.
Our Dog Harness Sizes:
XS: Chest: 12“-14" Neck: 8“-11"
Small: Chest: 15“-17" Neck: 12“-15"
Medium: Chest: 18“-22" Neck: 16“-19"
When choosing a dog coat, the fit around the neck and tummy are the most important measurements, followed closely by length. Please measure your dog before placing an order to ensure a comfy fit.
