Below is a guide on the best way to care for your Teddy Maximus products. We hope it comes in handy and wish you many happy moments enjoying our products.
COLLARS & LEADS: Teddy says...the beauty of leather is that it will naturally soften and darken with use. Dry brush dried mud or dirt then use a damp cloth to wipe away any remaining dirt. Use a damp cloth to gently sponge away marks on the fabric. Avoid getting the leather wet where possible. If it does, tissue dry and allow to dry naturally (do not use a radiator or heat). The brass fittings polish up beautifully if you so wish.
BEDS: Beds can be gently machine washed on a hand wash setting @ 30 degrees. Low spin only (400-600 RPM). Do not tumble dry. Dry thoroughly in an airing cupboard or on an airer. Reshape and smooth out creases whilst damp.
CUSHIONS: Remove cover and turn inside out. Machine wash on a hand wash setting @ 30 degrees. Low spin only (400-600 RPM). Do not tumble dry. Dry thoroughly in an airing cupboard or on an airer. Reshape and smooth out creases whilst damp. Iron on reverse.
DOG COATS: Dry brush where possible. Handwash @ 30 degrees. Air dry and reshape whilst damp. Do not spin or tumble dry. For waxed cotton coats do not use a detergent or iron.
CARRIERS: Sponge clean with a warm, soapy damp cloth to remove any marks. We recommend that you use the trigger hook inside the carrier for your dog’s safety. Please ensure that your dog is a suitable weight for the safe use of the carrier.
BOW TIES & BANDANAS: Spot clean with a warm, damp, soapy cloth
Harnesses: Hand Wash @ 30 degrees. Air dry & reshape whilst damp. Do not spin or tumble dry
GENERAL WEAR AND TEAR: Collars and leads should no longer be used if they show signs of damage. All products should only be used under supervision and at the owners discretion. Please check your dog’s products regularly for any signs of damage.
When a product begins to show signs of wear they should be removed from your dog. In particular dog toys should be removed once torn to remove choking hazard.
