How do I help my dog get used to a new carrier?
Introduce your dog to their new carrier once they’ve had plenty of exercise and rest. Before heading out with the carrier, use it inside first. Pop it onto the floor first and let them hop in and relax inside - offer plenty of praise. You could pop in their favourite treat or blanket too for extra comfort. Once they are used to it and relaxed inside, you can start to use it on journeys, gradually building up in time.
