We're delighted to be celebrating London Craft Week at Teddy Maximus HQ this week - it embodies everything we stand for. As champions of British manufacturing we're proud to work with the best talent there is to produce our leather leads, collars, dog beds and apparel. 

So what does 'Made in England' mean? For a start, we know exactly how something is being made and the care that goes into each piece. The reality? It costs alot more to produce in the UK, but we know that it's worth paying more for, it really is. The quality  shines through - literally. Our brass polishes up beautifully and we source it from a foundry in the UK. Our craftsman are paid a fair price and work knowing that they are supported by employment regulations in the UK. 

Did you know that the same Leathersmith makes your collar or lead from start to finish? Each piece. Cut, sewn, stitched and stamped with the Teddy Maximus emboss, our own special and unique sign of quality, heritage and craftsmanship. Our Leathersmith Mo even puts his 'Made with Love' message inside each one. 

Our signature print fabric is printed in the UK by a long standing family business with a heritage in fabric supply and manufacture. Our beds are expertly cut and stuffed by craftsmen and women in Somerset, with seamstresses holding years of experience between them. Our carrier straps are cut from quality leather in a London Leatherworks. And guess what? We hand select each leather skin before it's cut to ensure it's up to scratch. 

Our new bespoke personalisation service is carried out by a seamstress and an embroidery machine in the UK, no quick heat transfer, just actual stitches. And each time watched over by someone who ensures your dog's name looks just perfect. 

So this is what champions of British manufacturing and craftsmanship means to us. Heroing our talent and passion, cutting down on air miles and working to a more sustainable supply chain to make collections with a distinctive sense of style and quality.
